Chocolate Yogurt Banana Bread

For a chocolate banana bread that’s exceptionally soft, swap in Oikos Greek Yogurt instead of sour cream. Everybody will want your recipe!

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chunks

  • 1/2 cup melted butter or vegetable oil

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1/2 cup Oikos® Vanilla Greek Yogurt


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Line a bread pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  3. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder and dark chocolate chunks. Set aside.

  4. In another bowl, mix the butter or oil with the sugar and egg. Stir in the bananas, mix well, and add the vanilla Greek yogurt.

  5. Add the dry ingredients, mix well and pour in the bread pan.

  6. Put in the oven for 50 minutes. Let cool and enjoy.
