Grilled Yogurt Chicken
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • 6 chicken breasts, skin on, bone in
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 cup Dannon® Oikos® plain Greek nonfat yogurt
  • 3 cloves (2 tsp.) garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange (or ¼ cup of orange juice)
  • 1 T ground coriander
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 cup cilantro, chopped
  1. Rinse and dry the chicken. Season it liberally with salt.
  2. Whisk remaining ingredients together. Toss the chicken with the yogurt mixture, then place in a gallon sized bag to marinate in the fridge for 2-4 hours.
  3. Remove the chicken from the fridge and let it come to room temperature. While the chill is coming off of the chicken, heat your grill to medium.
  4. Remove the chicken from the bag and wipe off additional yogurt. Discard the marinade. Brush the chicken breasts with some olive oil to prevent sticking on the grill.
  5. Place the chicken on the grill skin side down and cover with lid. Grill for 7-8 minutes, open the grill and flip.
  6. Put the lid down on the grill again and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (160 degrees).
